Free Amazon Keyword Research

Amazon SEO has two layers — frontend keywords buyers type into search, and the 250-char hidden backend search-term field. We generate both from one seed: 15 ranked frontend phrases with intent and competition tags, plus a deduplicated backend string ready to paste.

Workflow

How it works

  1. 01

Type a seed keyword — your product's category or main descriptor.

  2. 02

Click Research. You'll get a frontend list and a single backend string.

  3. 03

Paste the backend string into Seller Central's Search Terms field. Use frontend phrases in your title, bullets, and description.

Context

Why most Amazon listings only use half their keyword surface

Amazon gives every listing a hidden 250-character backend search-term field that indexes for A9 but is invisible to buyers. Used right, it doubles your indexed keyword surface without touching your visible copy. Used wrong (duplicating frontend words, brand names, repeated phrases), it's wasted space.

The rules: no duplicates of frontend keywords, no brand names (yours or competitors', both will get flagged), no quotation marks, no comma separators inside phrases. Include synonyms, misspellings, alternate product names, and adjacent use cases. Amazon ignores word order in this field, so think of it as a bag of keywords, not a sentence.

On the frontend, prioritize 3-5 high-intent phrases for the title and bullets. The "intent" tag in the result tells you which phrases are buyer-ready (high conversion, higher CPC) versus research-stage (lower conversion, cheaper).
